Charity Box - The detailed explanation (better grab a cup of tea!)
What exactly does Charity Box do?
Charity Box is a secure website owned by Jenier that sells high quality gifts and items to supporters of Good Causes. Sales are tracked to each Good Cause and specific cash donations from sales that have been made are paid directly to the Good Causes by Charity Box within 28 days.
What's available to buy on Charity Box?
Charity Box gifts started with a really good cup of tea, then we thought about chocolate (a lot!) and now have our very own amazing chocolate made by COCO's of Edinburgh. To add to the luxury gift experience we've added handmade soy wax candles from the Isle of Skye and for those who just love great coffee, we've thought of you too! Handstitched, Lokta paper journals add a creative gift and we'll be adding many more items in the months to come.
Who can use Charity Box?
Charity Box can be used by any registered charities including community groups, religious charities, schools, universities, grant-giving charities, and major care providers.
Is there any cost for the Good Cause to use Charity Box?
No - there are no costs for Good Causes to use Charity Box.
How is a Good Cause shown on Charity Box website?
Each Good Cause will have the option to have their own unique page created that can be shared with supporters. As part of the design for the page, we've created four fantastic illustrated themes from which each Good Cause can choose which best represents their cause.
The themes are Humanitarian, Wellness, Schools & Children's Organisations or Pets & Animals.
How does a Good Cause get a page on Charity Box?
We've designed the process to be quick and simple. All you need to do is complete the registration form, choose your theme and upload your logo (or image) you'd like to represent your Good Cause along with any text telling supporters about you and what you're raising funds for.
Once we've received your information, we will be in touch. In accordance with the Charities & Benevolent Fundraising (Scotland) Regulations 2009, we will issue you with a commercial partnership agreement in order for us to legally raise funds in support of your organisation.
Once all the paperwork is in place, we'll set up your Charity Box page and send you the web page details along with social media links etc. You will of course have sign off on the page before it goes live to make sure we've used the right logo and text information.
As we go through the set up of your page, you'll have access to Charity Box Donation Central where you'll be able to see and track all the sales your page has made and the amount of cash donations you will receive as a result. Whilst the data will be real time, donation payments will be made within 28 days of receipt. This allows us to ensure all orders on which we are paying donations will have cleared funds and no returns have been made.
Is Charity Box a charity?
